Chris Willingham served in the United States Marine Corps from January 1999 to January 2019. Chris dedicated a majority of his career to the Military Working Dog (MWD) Program.
Throughout his 20 year career, Chris served as a MWD handler, trainer, instructor and supervisor. Chris was selected to serve as the first Marine instructor for the Specialized Search Dog (SSD) Course which was newly developed off-leash explosive detection capability.
Additionally, Chris completed an advanced Specialized Search Dog course through the Israeli Defense Force Oketz K-9 Unit. As a Master Sergeant, Chris served as the Program Manager for the Marine Corps Special Operations Command Multi-Purpose Canine section. Currently, Chris serves as a canine trainer for a government agency in Washington, D.C.
