Joaquim Dovat

Joaquim Dovat’s journey as a world class decoy began in 1999, at a local dog club near his home town in Courtelary, Switzerland.

 

A few years later, in 2005, he was hired by the Swiss Army where he started his 12 year career training and selecting some of the country’s finest Military Defense Dogs. He became an expert in the training of Narcotic, Detection and Protection dogs for annual deployments and defense dog missions.

 

Today, almost 20 years later, Joaquim has been selected to decoy for more than 80 Mondioring and IPO competitions around the world, including 6 World Championships. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada from where he travels to seminars and workshops all over the country to share his knowledge with hundreds of competitive sport dog teams.
